He has evidence how he wanted to experience to no one else can stop him from what he wants to do. "And then it happened .. a door to a world... rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is found.; ''This is it... this is where I belong..," (Paragraph 5 and 6). The Mentor shows that he experience that he thinks that he belong to this new world that makes him feels right. "My crimes is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that will never forgive me," (Paragraph 9). The Mentor showed what his experience when he became the hacker. His experience shows that he continues what he can doing something different.
His writing style is about his thoughts inside of his head and my own experience about reading "Conscience of a Hacker", is that everyone always gets judge from they do. "You bet your ass we're all alike... we've been spoon-fed food at school when we hungered for steak... the bits of meat that you did let slip through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We've dominated by sadists, or ignored by the pathetic... We exist without skin color, without nationally, without religious bias.. and you call us criminals. You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it's for own good, yet we're the criminals," (Paragraph 7 and 8). In his thoughts, other people treated other people different, but in the end, everyone will always be treated the same way.
